We are building up working relationships with a wide range of formal and informal partners nationally, regionally and locally.
British Rowing
We receive funding from British Rowing of £5000 pa in 2011-12 towards the costs of our Community Sports Coach. We work clcsoley with the regional Club Development Officer on a range of matters.
Sport England
The funding thorugh British Rowing for the CSC (as above) orginated from Sport England. We were recently awarded £1000 under Sportsmatch, which with £1000 from sponsor Techflow Marine, went towards two new ergos. We are currently looking at the Inspired Facilities grant scheme.
Active Newcastle
We work closely with Newcastle City Council through its Active Newcastle initiative in relation to community daytime rowing.
Tyne and Wear Sport
TWS gives us valuable advice and support on funding and in relation to specific issues such as training.
Northumbria University
We no longer host Northumbria University Boat Club, as of 1 September 2011, and assume our Partnership Agreement with them is now dead (it all happened rather quickly!).
